Terms of use

1. What Doxter is

Doxter is practice software. It records and transcribes consultations, drafts prescriptions and clinical notes, reads uploaded reports, manages a patient queue and appointments, tracks clinic stock, and gives patients a way to reach their practice.

2. What Doxter is not

Doxter does not practise medicine and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Everything the software produces — transcripts, extracted medicines, clinical notes, report summaries — is a draft for a qualified doctor to review, correct and approve. The treating doctor remains solely responsible for every clinical decision, for what is prescribed, and for the accuracy of the record they sign.

Doxter is not an emergency service. It must not be relied on to communicate anything urgent.

3. Who may use it

The doctor account is for registered medical practitioners and the staff they authorise. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for everything done under your account. You must have the right to enter and process the patient information you put into Doxter.

4. Recording consultations

Where you use the recording feature, you are responsible for obtaining any consent that the law or your professional body requires from the patient before recording begins, and for telling them what the recording will be used for.

5. Acceptable use

• Do not use Doxter to store information you have no lawful basis to hold.
• Do not attempt to access another practice’s data.
• Do not attempt to reverse engineer, overload, scrape or interfere with the service.
• Do not upload malware or content you do not have the right to upload.

6. Availability

We work to keep Doxter available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, and features described as early access may change substantially or be withdrawn. We will give practices reasonable notice of a material change or withdrawal.

7. Your data

Your clinical records remain yours. We process them as your processor under our privacy policy. You can export or request deletion of your data; on account closure we will delete or return it, subject to any retention the law requires of us.

8. Fees

Doxter is currently offered to early-access practices. If and when charges apply to your account, we will tell you the price and the terms before they take effect, and you will be free to decline and close your account.

9. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doxter is provided “as is”, and we are not liable for clinical outcomes, for decisions made on the basis of drafts the software produced, or for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

10. Termination

You may stop using Doxter at any time. We may suspend or end access where these terms are breached, where required by law, or where continued access poses a risk to patients or to the service.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
